- To present a theology of how followers of Jesus should think about and interact with politics
- We will not address the three “P’s”: People, Policies, and Parties
What We Believe
- Christians need to be cautious when engaging with political powers.
- Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
- Violence in Europe once Christians gained power
- Power magnifies our shortcomings
- When we are continuously forced to choose the lesser of two evils, we slowly lose our ability to identify evil.
- The greatest power we have at our disposal to change the world is the power of God’s Spirit present in God’s kingdom.
